HMS Abdiel
HMS Abdiel was the first ship of a class of six fast minelayers which were build between 1938 and 1944, to which also HMS Manxman belongs. They were used very often as fast transports.

Mediterranean – Operation Mincemeat I: HMS Manxman (disguised as large French destroyer) lays 140 mines off Livorno (Italy), while Swordfish torpedo-bombers from Ark Royal operate over Sardinia.

Politics

Churchill warns Japan to desist from further aggression.
