Harry Shippe Truman
Harry Shippe Truman (1881-1972), elected Vice-President in November 1944 and became automatically US President on sudden death of Roosevelt. He retired from presidency 1952 after he defeated Governor Dewey in 1948 elections.

Japanese counter-attack near Kakazu Ridge.
