Terror Tanks of Odessa
One of the most famous improvised Russian tanks were the so-called ‘Terror Tanks’ which were used with success against the Rumanians during the siege of Odessa.

Eastern Front

Operation Barbarossa: Guderian liquidate SmolenskOrsha ‘pocket’.
SIEGE OF ODESSA by Rumanian-German forces begins (ends October 16). Rumanians suffer heavy casualties.
