Home Fronts

USA: Wilson tells Congress he is going to Europe.
Britain: Iron and steel subsidies’ I removal for 1919 announced. Final war factory worker pay rise 5s per week (total 28s 6d).

Western Front

Belgian troopss occupy Julich, Muenchen-Gladbach (December 5), Crefeld on the Rhine (December 6), cavalry enter Neuss (December 4) and Urdingen (December 8).

Eastern Front

Trans-Caspia: Red attack on armoured trains repelled. White raid captures Ravnina on December 8, but CoS India disapproves Anglo-­White advance to Oxus on December 11.

Politics

Britain: War Cabinet decides to press for Kaiser’s extradition.
