Allied soldiers and officers curiously follow the arrival of the various delegations to Versailles invited to the peace conference.

France – PEACE CONFERENCE OPENS at 1530 hours in Quai d’Orsay, Paris, 48 years to day since German Empire’s proclamation at Versailles: Clemenceau unanimously elected Chairman with 27 countries represented by up to 5 delegates each; secretariat appointed.
Britain: National War Bonds issue closed at £1645.3 million (£148 million in last week).
