Russia: Death of General Ivanov (ex-Tsarist Southwest Front commander 1914­-16) of typhus, aged 67. 2nd Czech Division’s evacuation ordered.
France – Peace Process: Japan presents Pacific claims (China on January 28).
South Persia: British occupy Kazerun; Bushire and Shiraz columns unite on January 28. RAF attack Nasir Diwan.
