World War One Diary for Monday, January 6, 1919:

Germany: SPD politician Gustav Noske made C-in-C Berlin garrison, he encourages the formation of 28 Freikorps nationwide by end January.
Yugoslavia: Prime Minster Protich notifies Allies of union.
Britain: Engineering and shipbuilding strike (40,000 strikers) vs break system (until March 1). Raw materials rationing no longer necessary.
USA: Death of Ex-President Theodore Roosevelt aged 60.
Russia – Urals: Kolchak orders halt at Perm and shift south to centre of his front, ie to reach Volga.
