France: US President Wilson arrives in Paris.
Russia: British force sent to Caucasus.
Siberia: 1/9th Hampshire Regiment (1,023 men) relieves 25th Middlesex at Omsk (until May).
Britain: War Cabinet’s Eastern Comittee dissolved. Revised de-mobilization rules issued after 2 soldiers’ demos in Whitehall. Lloyd George appeals for patience on January 8.
