Western Front

Aisne: German attacks in Northern Aisne sector; fierce fighting, French recover lost ground on July 24.
Verdun: German trench raids.

Eastern Front

Galicia: Emperor Charles visits Austro-Hungarian HQ at Zloczow.

Southern Fronts

Salonika: British 27th Division trench raid in Struma sector on Homondas village takes 35 PoWs and destroys 2 mountain guns.

Politics

Siam: Government declares war on Germany and Austria.
Germany: German Vienna Ambassador reports that plebiscite in Austria alone would find majority for joining Allies and
fighting Germany.
