Hitler's HQ
Discussions about the future operations at Hitler’s HQ. Clearly visible are from left Weichs, Hitler, Keitel, Paulus (6th Army in advance to Stalingrad) and Loehr.
WW2 War Diary for Thursday, July 23, 1942:

Eastern Front

Southern Russia: Hitler orders simultaneous operations against Stalingrad and the Caucasus, thereby compromising the chances of capturing either objective. Hoth’s 4th Panzer Army ordered to abandon its direct advance on Stalingrad (thereby depriving 6th Army of vital support) and push south to assist Kleist’s 1st Panzer Army to cross river Don. Hitler dismisses Bock, C-in-C Army Group B on Don front.
