 SD-2 anti-personnel fragmation bomb
The SD-2 anti-personnel fragmation bomb. A Ju 88 could carry up to 360 of these weapons. Nicknamed the ‘Butterfly Bomb’ by the Allies, this weapon proved very effective against personnel in the open, soft skinned vehicles or aircraft on the ground.

Britain: Night raid on Grimsby; many ‘Butterfly’ anti-personnel bombs and incendiaries dropped; 74 killed, 130 injured.
