 Germany Navy scouting Zeppelin
The Germany Navy made extensive use of Zeppelins for scouting, but communications problems reduced their theoretical effectiveness.
World War One Diary for Thursday, June 14, 1917:

Sea War

North Sea­: Harwich Force destroys Zeppelin L43.
North Atlantic: U-boat sinks AMC HMS Avenger.

Western Front

Flanders: 3rd Australian Division attack Infantry Hill (lose ground on June 18, regain it on June 20).

Southern Fronts

Greece: British detachment lands at Piraeus after c.9,500 French soldiers on June 12. 500 British soldiers reinforce French at Larissa on June 16 also to gain grain supplies.
