Wings over America – In the possession of an inordinate supply of materials, the US is going optimistically to war.

French-Northwest Africa: Cardinal Spellman, Archbishop of New York and Military Vicar of US Army and Navy, broadcasts to US Forces from Algiers; describes American troops as ‘modern crusaders’ who will be ‘the sacred instruments of our cause’.
