World War One Diary for Friday, March 21, 1919:

Hungary: Count Karolyi’s Government in Budapest (resigned because of the Allied territorial claims) replaced by Communist­-Socialist coalition in which Communist Bela Kun foreign minister among 16 people’s commissars whom Soviets support. Allied Missions leave on March 26. Hungarian Soviet Republic declared.
Balkans: Danube navigation resumes.
