North Russia – Murmansk Railway: 400 British storm 60th Village (named in honour of the 60th Rifles), Whites occupy Povyenets (May 18) and Allies take Medyezhya (May 21).
France: Zionist leader and master spy Dr Aaronsohn drowned in RAF DH4 mail plane crash, Boulogne Harbour, returning to Peace Conference. News not published till May 20.
