 German paratroopers pull gun through the desert
The German paratroopers, which were deployed for the invasion of Malta, were sent to Rommel as reinforcements. Since their ship with the tractors was sunk in the Mediterranean, these lucky guys have to pull their anti-tank gun through the desert.

Mediterranean – Operation Herkules: planned German airborne invasion of Malta postponed indefinitely.

Philippines: Japanese troops land in Leyte Gulf.

Japan: Government agrees to request by International Red Cross for representative to visit British PoWs.
