Air War

Europe: US 8th Air Force despatches 1,500 planes to Berlin. US 9th Air Force B-26 Marauders and P-38 Lightnings attack Mezieres-Charleville railway yards. US 15th Air Force and RAF bombers attack Bucharest railway yards by day and night, leaving target area in flames.
