The Panzer regiments in front of Moscow are reduced to 25 per cent of their original strength and can be used from now on only as infantry support.

Operation Barbarossa: After the mud is frozen the German units, under von Bock, resume direct advance on Moscow.

Arctic: U-boat U-752 torpedoes two Russian ships in White Sea.
