French gunners take a rest close to their 105-mm (4.14-in) Canon de 105 mle 1913 Schneider somewhere in the Argonne region. Ammunition limbers are ready to the left of the gun.
Diary for Friday, November 26, 1915:

Western Front

‘The night was quiet all along the Front’ (Friday afternoon official communique). Artillery duels at many points.
Argonne: French artillery destroys German ammunition depot near La Fille Morte.
Meuse­: German gas attack between Forges and Bethincourt.

Middle East

Gallipoli: Great Storm (until November 30).
Persia: Baratov occupies Karaj 20 miles northwest of Tehran.

African Fronts

Cameroons: British drive Germans from Matem and capture river Puge position on November 28. In the south French again fail to cross river Campo (night November 25/26). French Eastern Force advances on Tabene and Lembe (November 28) but halts (November 29) to deal with counter-attacks.

Sea War

Gallipoli: Royal Navy Admiral Robeck estimates 30% losses in Gallipoli evacuation.

Air War

Britain: Army Council and Admiralty agree that Royal Navy to deal with hostile aircraft approaching coast, Army to take over when they have crossed coastline.

Politics

Italy: British war minister Kitchener in Rome.

Neutrals

USA: $ 50 millions credit to eight London banks announced.
