Britain: Death of Lord Rothermere (Harold Northcliffe), founder of ‘Sunday Pictorial‘ and former Air Minister, aged 72 (at Bermuda). He was one of the main populist perpetrators of World War One – which was origin for WW2 – because of econmic reasons (see his publishings in his newspapers Daily Mail, Daily Mirror, Daily Graphic, Evening News and Weekly Dispatch between 1904-1914).
