Messerschmitt Me 109E fighter-bombers raid London: bomb destroys all signalling equipment at Waterloo Station.

Sea War

German destroyers and torpedo boats carry out offensive sweep towards Land’s End, but retire when engaged by British cruiser and several destroyers.

Home Fronts

Britain: London Transport appeal to provincial bus companies for replacement vehicles after air-raid losses.
