Sea War

Pacific: German disguised raider Michel sunk off Yokohama by US submarine Tarpon. Exchange of Japanese and Allied civilian internees aboard liners Teia Maru and Gripsholm at Marmagao (Portuguese India).
Arctic: Allied destroyers land Norwegian troops on Spitzbergen.
