Italian 4-engined heavy bomber Piaggio P.108B, which was the heaviest and most powerful bomber of Axis air forces in WW2. Only 163 were built and the Duce’s son, Bruno Mussolini, was killed in one.

Mediterranean: Fighter-bomber raids on Malta. Italian 4-engined night raiders intercepted by RAF fighters over Gibraltar and forced to jettison bombs over Spanish territory, causing damage and casualties.
