Operation BarbarossaBATTLE OF KIEV: Panzer spearheads of Guderian (Army Group Centre) and Kleist (Army Group South) meet at Lochvitsa, east of Kiev, completing the encirclement of 4 Russian armies, 600,000 prisoners taken by September 27.
