Sea War

Atlantic: RESUMPTION OF ‘WOLF-PACK’ OPERATIONS AGAINST CONVOYS following re-equipment of U-boats with electronic monitoring equipment, 8×20-mm anti-aircraft guns and acoustic torpedoes.
Pacific: US carrier strike on Tarawa.
