WW2 War Diary for Sunday, September 19, 1943:

Sea War

Atlantic: 20 U-boats deployed against convoys ON.202 and ONS.18 (September 19-23). Germans claim outstanding successes with acoustic torpedoes against escorting warships (12 sunk, 3 probably sunk) but only 4 actually hit; 7 merchant ships sunk. 3 U-boats lost.
