Home Fronts

France: 12 Scottish female doctors and nurses arrive in Calais to combat Belgian Army typhoid until February 1915. 32 Scots women hospital arrives in Paris to tend French at Abbaye de Royaumont until February 1919.
Britain: 1,000 German PoWs landed at Southend, Essex.

Southern Fronts

Serbia: Potiorek orders Austrian Fifth Army to attack south of Belgrade, but Putnik extends Serb Second Army to meet threat. Uzice Army fought to a standstill, but Austrian Sixth Army retreating towards Kolubara after losing 15,000 PoWs and 19 guns since December 3.

Africa Fronts

South Africa: Rebels offer to talk, but Botha demands unconditional surrender.

Secret War

German Afghanistan Mission leaves Constantinople, reaches Aleppo on December 13 en route for Mosul.

Politics

Nicaragua: Government declares neutrality.
