Hitler 1938 in the Ruhr area. Right behind him Fritz Thyssen, who has already made considerable sums available since 1923 to him and even in 1931 became a party member. Later he realized that he had been abused by Hitler for his own goals.

Germany: Government takes in trust the property and financial interests of Fritz Thyssen. The iron and steel magnate and a key supporter of Hitler in earlier years had fled to Switzerland in September 1939.
