Panther turrets used in Siegfried Line
Before the arrival of the US troops at the Saar the Siegfried Line was strengthened with a number of improvised fortifications. One of the deadliest is the use of Panther tank turrets mounted on concrete, steel or wooden shelters.
War Diary for Tuesday, November 28, 1944:

Western Front

3rd US Army (Patton) holds now 42-km wide salient inside West Germany (Saar) – in front of the Siegfried Line.
9th US Army patrols reach river Roer.

Sea War

First Allied convoy with 18 ships arrives in Antwerp.
