Germany: 29 RAF Blenheims and Wellingtons (7 lost) make daylight raids on German Fleet at Wilhelmshaven and Brunsbüttel (Kiel Canal). Cruiser Emden damaged by wreckage of shot-down Blenheim bomber. Pocket-battleship Admiral Scheer hit by dud bomb.
Sea War
Hitler forbids attacks on Allied passenger ships. Nazi propaganda minister Goebbels accuses Churchill of complicity in sinking of Athenia at the day before to create anti-German feeling in USA.
