In summer 1940 everywhere in Britain obstacles against German paratroopers were built.

Sea War

Mediterranean: Italians lay extensive minefields in Sicilian Channel in which two British destroyers are sunk: Hostile (August 23, 1940) and Gallant (January 10, 1941).
