Mediterranean: U-boat U-652 sinks British destroyers Heythrop and Jaguar north of Sollum (Egypt) (on March 20 and 26 resp.).

Home Fronts

Japan: Japanese Navy Minister, Admiral Shimada, announces that Japan will no longer observe the recognized rules of naval warfare, since Allied forces in the Pacific are waging ‘extreme warfare, based on retaliation and hatred’.
